LOVELIEST of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom2 along the bough3,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide4.
Now, of my threescore5 years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.
And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.
一株独秀樱花放，
俏立莽林驿道旁，
琼花竞开压枝低；
为迎复活换银装。
人生有涯七十年，
二十已去正堪叹；
天年渐减余五十，
岁月如水意阑珊。
群芳怒放欲尽观，
五十春秋长恨短，
闲来绕林独漫步，
樱花如雪看未餍。
