About Me
Hi. My name is Brianna and I live in New York City. To be specific4, the Upper West Side of Manhattan5. Every morning I wake up to the sound of screeching tires6 and honking horns7. Not too pleasant, but you get used to it after a while. My first day of school is coming up, and I don't know half the girls in my class. As you can imagine, there are a lot of “whats” going through my head. What to wear? What to expect? What to wear? What to do? What to wear? Oh yeah, and what to wear?
“Brianna, hurry up, you're late!” “Calm down,” I say, still trying to finish the chapter of my book. “I'm not late yet and I've already got my backpack together.” 5 minutes later. “Brianna! Now you're really late!” Ahh, mornings, mornings were a bad invention.
At least school is fun:
“Brianna, put the book down and start paying attention.” “OK, sure, but hold on, let me finish this page.” “Brianna, if you don't put that book down this instant, I'm going to have to ask you to leave the room.” The book goes in my desk, but 10 minutes later, “Right, that's it! I warned you! Give me the book and go sit outside. Now!” Everyone tells me that I read too much.
My whole day is like this. I can never wait for the bell to ring at the end of the day, announcing proudly that school is out. When I get home, I wonder why I wanted to leave school in the first place, if it means coming home to hectic8  mornings. “Brianna, did you do your homework?” It's going to be another long and tiring afternoon, and I'm quite sure it won't be too tragic to say, “Good night.”

If I could be...
I would like to become a famous writer. I've always loved to read, and so I want to give the gift of good books to other kids when I grow up. Also, I love to write, and that's that. I would write kids' books, not baby books, but books for older children and teenagers.
My teachers are a big part of what made me want to write. I want to influence kids to read more, and better yet, to write. I want to do what my teachers did for me, but do it through books. For instance, I admire J.K. Rowling because she has a wonderful talent for writing.
I also want to be known, but not quite famous. I want people to see a book of mine and say, “Oh, Brianna! I've read one of her books and it was really good! I wonder if this one is good too,” or something like that. I think it would definitely be a thrill9 to become a writer.
